If you're into small frame lock knives, you may want to check out this latest design from Chad Los Banos and Boker Plus knives. The DW-2 is absolutely compact, yet amazingly comfortable to grip.
The Blade: Right at 1.5 inches of package-opening cutting power on this one. Its upward slice comes to a bit of a spear point great for small every day chores. Once in your finger grip, you'll notice the talent it posseses. The AUS-8 steel is quite sharp, stonewashed and given two thumb studs for opening. A welcomed thumb ramp is cut into the spine and the bottom forms a bit of a guard as well to keep your index out of harms way.
The Handle: Two-part black Zytel and stainless steel construction. The Zytel has light texturing as well as a sturdy liner underneath. Two barrel spacers and stop pin construction bring the frame lock side together. The lock is notched for easy operation and holds the blade solidly in place.
The Small DW-2 Frame Lock is amazingly purposeful and functional. It even includes a pocket clip! Tip up, right hand carry only that could easily be removed. What this little guy lacks in size, he makes up for in utility.
