Details

The Boker Kwaiken is an amazing and elegant knife designed by Lucas Burnley with a sleek look inspired by the Japanese Tanto from which it derives its name. Responding to customer requests, Boker now makes the Kwaiken in a frame lock version that delivers the same great design in a much slimmer profile that provides an easier to carry package without sacrificing performance or function. This version has a satin finished D2 blade and full stainless steel handles.

Brand new directly from Boker Knives.

Blade: The D2 Tool steel blade has a stunning satin finish and integral blade flipper. Jimping on the tab enhances traction allowing the blade to be easily deployed. Riding on IKBS ball bearings, the blade action is quick and smooth.

Handle: Full stainless steel slabs form the foundation of the handle, including the solid frame lock mechanism. The frame lock construction slims the thickness of the handle down for a better carry experience while still delivering exceptional function and performance. The edges of the handles have a stepped milling that adds both traction and visual style to the streamline handle construction. A small stainless steel pocket clip is attached for tip-up right hand only carry.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
