The Boker Plus Shade is a compact, ultralight folding knife with clean, modern design lines. Modern, ball bearing pivot flipper deployment is combined with a timeless clip point blade and ergonomic, textured G10 handle scales for optimal performance. A sleek design makes for easy carry especially paired with the single liner construction which keeps the weight under 2 ounces. This version comes with a horizontal satin finished D2 tool steel blade and black G10 handle scales.

Blade: Beautifully finished in a horizontal satin, the D2 tool steel, clip point blade is equipped with a nearly full height flat grind giving it excellent slicing and piercing performance with good durability. Riding on a ball bearing pivot system, the blade deploys fast and smooth via the index flipper tab which has been milled for weight reduction. The flipper forms and integral index guard, paring with the spine jimping and handle design for added safety in use.

Handle: Dual, textured black G10 scales form the ergonomic handle and house the blade and liner lock mechanism. A single liner was used to reduce the overall weight while still providing a solid construction and reliable locking mechanism. Finger grooves and a distal taper ensure a secure grip with a single barrel spacer rounding out the construction.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only, stainless steel, pocket clip.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
