Details

Boker's corporate history can be traced back to 1674, when the tree was first entered as the company's trade symbol for tools and is closely connected to the Bergisches Land and its iconic landmark, Castle Burg. In an act of historic preservation Boker has taken ancient solid oak planks being removed as part of an historic restoration and skillfully turned them into handle scales that can are being used in a limited series of Boker Schloss Burg traditional slip joint folder. In addition to the Oak scales, the Burg Castle (Schloss Burg) knives also feature brass liners and blades made from acid washed O1 carbon steel. These pieces are produced in limited edition runs of 1133 pieces worldwide, the year of completion of the castle.

This Castle Burg 1906 pattern is a century-plus-old locking jackknife pattern with small nickel silver bolsters, an acid washed O1 tool steel, clip point blade and Oak handles with Boker Tree shield.

Brand new, direct from Boker Knives, Solingen Germany.

Blade: An iconic clip point blade is executed in Acid Washed and tumbled O1 carbon tool steel with a timeless back lock mechanism for smooth operation. The high hollow saber grind makes this a durable, high performance utility blade for users while collectors will be pleased with the visual appeal of the acid wash which also helps protect against harmful corrosion. Slim and sleek, the 1906 is an excellent collectors' piece or functional dress or daily carry option.

Handle: Mounted to brass liners with stainless steel pins you'll find the 1906 pattern delivered with bright nickel silver bolsters, sleek and smooth, contrasting the rugged, Ancient Oak scales. The front scale is embellished with the Boker Tree Brand Shield. A stainless steel mid-back lock offers reliable safety during use with smooth operation. Ancient solid oak is dense and weather resistant with a warm in hand feel and plenty of character.

O1 Tool Steel: Popular as a forging steel O1 tool steel is used by custom and production makers alike. Good edge stability, wear resistance, and toughness, O1 can reach 65HRC and works well with refined edge at high hardness for smaller knives.
