The Tighe Down model from custom maker Brian Tighe is a sleek, button lock flipper that pushes the bounds of the modern tactical folder platform. Innovative knife designs are Mr. Tighe's forte, and the organic milled lines of the Tighe Down are the cornerstone of his iconic signature aesthetic. An integral construction keeps the lines of this model very clean, highlighting the organic feel and eye-catching materials. This piece has a compound ground, harpoon tip, black DLC RWL34 blade and unidirectional carbon fiber handle with Damasteel pivot collars and zirconium clip.

Blade: The RWL34 stainless steel blade glides on Brian's STBS (Sealed Thrust Bearings System) for exceptionally smooth operation and deployment via dual thumb studs or the index flipper. A compound ground Harpoon tip blade provides an excellent combination of strength, cutting performance, and strong visual lines to complement the overall design of the knife. The blade is finished with a durable black DLC coating over hand rubbed satin for a classy, subdued look and discreet carry and use.

Handle: A solid piece of unidirectional carbon fiber is milled to create the integral handle. The fluted pattern on the sides give the knife a very organic and futuristic look, a Brian Tighe signature, with a stunning look from the carbon fiber layers. The Tighe Down has less aggressive finger grooves than other models for a cleaner look while still being very secure in the hand. A smooth, robust button lock provides secure lock up and a custom pivot with Damasteel pivot collars completes this outstanding piece. The pommel end has a contoured milled channel for lanyard attachment. Includes a signature Brian Tighe zipper pouch.

RWL34: RWL34, named after the world-famous knife maker Robert W Loveless, was developed by Damasteel as a powder metallurgy version of 154CM/ATS-34. Similar to CPM154, RWL34 offers better edge retention than D2 with good toughness, corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. Knife makers appreciate the ease of machining and finishing, being capable of taking a mirror polish.
