Brian Tighe 3.75" Custom Tighe Fighter Brass Weave Carbon Fiber S90V San Mai

The Tighe Fighter Flipper from Canadian custom knife maker Brian Tighe is his answer to the call for a modern, tactical folder. The contoured handle fills the hand and thanks to the full Carbon Fiber construction keeps the weight under 4.5 ounces while retaining a beefy 3/16" thick blade! A brass mesh woven into the carbon fiber along with the high level of hand done fit and finish add an element of gentlemanly refinement to this otherwise "all business" design. The Blade: A compound ground Tanto point-styled blade means excellent utility cutting with tough endurance. The San Mai construction of the blade gives it a two tone finish with a polished and tumble finish on the 154cm outer layers and a matte gray finish on the S90V core. Brian's signature appears on the front and it is outfitted with dual thumb studs or integral flipper deployment. Silky smooth operation is provided via Brian's ceramic ball bearings STBS (Sealed Thrust Bearings) system. 

The Handle: 3D machined brass weave carbon fiber is used for the entire handle with black G10 backspacer. The use of a button lock mechanism means that no liners are needed thus reducing the weight considerably. It's well-balanced with finger grooves that lock the knife into your hand. Stepped texturing throughout enhances the grip. 

The new Tighe Fighter is a modern tactical design with a dramatic and sophisticated look that will have you looking its way more than once. A large lanyard window cut out at the bottom of the G10 backspacer and a right hand, tip-up titanium pocket clip with ceramic tension ball provide secure options for carry and use. Comes with custom zippered nylon storage pouch. 

About San Mai:A San Mai is a Japanese technique that typically refers to a blade with a hardened steel core with either iron or stainless forming a jacket on both sides. In the case of this blade we have 154cm forming the outer layers with CPM S90V forming the core. This combination provides high performance wear resistance from the S90V with enhanced toughness and corrosion resistance from the 154cm for a power house of performance.
