Blade: Classic clip point 110 styling built with pride from Buck's famous heat-treated 420HC steel finished with a satin gleam. Just about 3.5 inches of workable sharpened edge for the 101 capable of skinning tasks to slicing up vegetables around the fire. Its hollow grind allows for the ultimate sharpness possible while remaining super easy to re-sharpen in the field or the shed.

Handle: Iconic Macassar Ebony wood handle scales are pinned to the tang with smoothed out brass pins matching the brass bolsters. The grip is familiar, comfortable and one that has stood the test of time. It never goes out of style because it was done right the first time. Reverse grip is even comfortable on the 101 should the need arise.

420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With Paul Bos heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
