Customized by Buck Legacy artist, Michael Prater of Painted Pony Designs, the classic 303 Buck Cadet has been elevated to a true piece of functional art. A smaller version of the timeless Stockman pattern, this Cadet has custom file work on blades, liners, back springs and bolsters and stunning covers of gold lip pearl and bloody jasper. This custom design is limited to 250 pieces.

Blade: The blade is made from BOS Heat Treated 420HC offers great toughness and corrosion resistance with good edge retention, and razor sharpness with ease. The classic Stockman trio of long clip, spey and sheepsfoot blades are equipped with deep hollow grinds for excellent slicing, if you could bring yourself to use these stunning mirror polished blades. All open via a generous nail nicks and are outfitted with full length file work on the spines.  The back of the main blade is engraved with the designers' signature and the number of 250.

Handle: A stunning display piece, the knife features engraved nickel silver bolsters and spacers framing the beautiful gold lip pearl and bloody jasper covers. Custom file work on the dual back spacers complements the worked bolsters, liners and spacers for a cohesive look. Steel back springs offer smooth and reliable slip joint operation for the blades.

Includes a gift box with signed Michael Prater Certificate of Authenticity & black leather slip pouch.

420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With BOS heat treat from Buck it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
