The Buck 907 Expert Hunter is full size fixed blade skinning knife released as a limited production as part of Buck's Legacy Collection. The handle is striking, make from figured Walnut with accents of Buffalo Horn and Copper fittings while the blade is beautifully satin finished D2 offering excellent performance if you can bring yourself to use this handsome blade. Blade: A trailing point Skinner, this blade is a timeless companion for hunters young and old. The high height hollow grind offers exceptional slicing performance with a fine tip for detail work. A large, unsharpened ricasso allows for a close grip for added control.

Handle: The blade is construction in a classic, stacked style with figured Walnut at the center and Buffalo Horn toward either end with raw copper fittings and spacers. Expanding toward the pommel, the neutral handle design offers a secure and comfortable grip that is well-balanced thanks to the heavy copper pommel end. A generous finger guard keeps the fingers safe from the blade.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all-around knife steel.
