Blade: A black oxide finished upswept skinner styled blade is made of easy-sharpening 420HC perfect for the field. The black coating not only looks cool, but will protect the steel over the long haul. You'll have a little over three inches of cutting edge to work with when using the Volt. It is a striaght plain edge that will tackle slicing or light skinning chores with ease. The oval cutout makes deployment a breeze whether you're right or left handed. It locks up solidly and reliably with a lock back mechanism found on the spine of the handle.

Handle: A red anodized aluminum handle adds a bit of flare to the Volt. It has a few silver dashes on either side and black traction inserts to make sure you're grip is solid and comfortable. The grooves and contours are quite friendly. A large finger groove towards the front will ensure no slippage onto the blade's edge while working. The Volt comes with a black oxide stainless steel pocket clip attached for right hand tip up carry only. It can be easily removed via a Torx driver for alternative carry options.

420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With BOS heat treat from Buck it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
