A classic big game hunting knife the Buck Vanguard is now being produced in a premium, Legacy edition collectors' run. The beefy drop point blade is made from American CPM-20CV steel with nice satin finish and deep hollow grind while the hidden tang handle consists of Burgundy Linen Micarta capped with Black G10 at the guard and pommel with contrasting white liners. This Vanguard Legacy is a numbered, limited production of 250 pieces. Made in the USA and backed by the Buck "Forever" Warranty.

Blade: The blade is made from satin finished, BOS Heat Treated CPM 20CV, offering some of the best edge retention and corrosion resistance on the market. A thick blade stock keeps the Vanguard durable while the deep hollow grind makes this knife an exceptional slicer, should you choose to use it. The front of the blade has the standard Buck markings while the back of the blade is laser etched "Limited Edition", number of 250 with the blade steel and Bos Heat Treat logo.

Handle: The robust, contoured handle of the Vanguard Legacy is executed with precision with handsome Burgundy Linen Micarta that fills the hand in any grip. Offset by white liners the ends of the handle are capped with a black G10 Pommel and matching forward finger guard for a classy look and optimal durability.

Bos Heat Treated CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, an analog to Bohler's M390, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.
