Byrd Cara Cara 2 Black Stainless Steel Part Serrated 03BKPS2

The Cara Cara 2 from Byrd Knife is a full size tool for standard daily to heavier tactical use and everything in-between. Its full steel handle is substantial and strong for durability no matter the hand size, gloved or otherwise. This version comes fully black oxide coated with a matching part serrated cutting edge blade and is fully ambidextrous.

The Blade: Just about 3.25 inches of hard use, freshly sharpened cutting edge for the Cara Cara 2 with aggressive partial serrations. The spear shape is fully flat ground and comes to a piercing point creating a tough cutter with casual slicing abilities. Its comet shaped hole opener makes for easy one hand, left or right, opening with smooth bronze washer action. The black oxide coating is non-reflective and will develop its own unique look over time. 

The Handle: Heavy duty stainless steel is contoured and smoothed around the edges for a comfortable grip. It has a forward choil for choking up on finer cutting tasks with Torx construction. Fully black oxide coated to match the blade creating a stealthy dark carry. A super strong lock back mechanism keeps the blade in place while you work. 

Includes a black oxide stainless steel pocket clip that can be attached in any of the four pre-drilled positions creating absolutely ambidextrous carry. 

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
