Byrd Finch 2 Black G-10 Satin Plain Edge 11GP2

The Finch 2 from Byrd Knife is a small watch-pocket size tool perfect for your keychain or pack designed for light duty. Its steel liner/G-10 handle is sturdy and strong for durability over the long haul. This version features textured black G-10 covers and a straight plain cutting edge blade that's fully ambidextrous.

The Blade: Just over 1.5 inches of usable, freshly sharpened cutting edge for the Finch 2 with a plain cutting edge. The spear shape is fully flat ground and comes to a piercing point creating a small cutter with exemplary slicing abilities. Its comet shaped hole opener makes for easy one hand, left or right, opening with smooth bronze washer action. The satin finish is classic and will develop its own unique look over time. 

The Handle: Strong, skeletonized stainless steel liners create a foundation for comfy G-10. It has a forward choil for choking up on finer cutting tasks with all Torx construction. Decorative notching lines the back half of the spacer. A super strong lock back mechanism keeps the blade in place while you work. 

The Finch 2 does not include a pocket clip as it is intended to slip directly into a pocket or attach to a key ring/lanyard.

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
