Camerer Knives Thorn Elmax Green Canvas Micarta Fixed Blade

Custom knife maker Craig Camerer is well known for his high quality Balisong knives but he also makes a fantastic fixed blade. The Thorn is aptly named with its long tapering clip point blade sporting a nearly full length swedge and full height hollow grind, this knife is made for serious piercing. The thick-stock Elmax blade is tough and supports a fine, slicing hollow grind done up in an elegant satin finish. A tapered tang makes the Thorn well balanced in the hand while the polished Canvas Micarta handle scales deliver comfort to both the hand and the eye.

The Blade: Made from tough, corrosion and wear resistant Elmax steel the Thorn's hollow ground, clip point blade offers excellent slicing performance in hunting or woodcraft tasks. The nearly full length swedge tapers the point for optimal perforating performance without sacrificing strength.

The Handle: The full tang construction tapers from nearly a quarter inch thickness in the center of the knife down to around ¹⁄₁₀" delivering a very fast, well balanced blade. Contoured and polished Green Canvas Micarta are very comfortable and handsome. The ergonomic handle design offers a secure, comfortable grip during use.

The Sheath: Embossed, High Quality Leather Belt Sheath with Frog and Strap Closure

Elmax: A cousin to Bohler's M390, Elmax exhibits the same high-level corrosion resistance with similar wear resistance for great edge retention and enhanced toughness.
