• High Carbon Steel Blade — The CS clip blade takes a keen edge fast and is easy to bring back on a stone. A light coat of oil after use keeps the finish looking sharp, since this steel is not stainless.
• All New Axe Handle Pattern — Co-designed with custom maker Bill Ruple, this is the first fully new slip joint shape from Case in years. The profile is where the name comes from, and it carries the BR'135 pattern stamp.

The Axe Handle is a rare thing in the Case catalog: a completely new pattern. Co-designed with award-winning custom maker Bill Ruple, this slip joint earns its name from the distinctive upswept curve at the butt of the handle. That profile is more than a style choice. The pattern stamp marks the first inline collaboration between Case and Ruple, with the numbers honoring both his 35 years of custom knifemaking and the 135 years Case had been in business when the project started.
