The Cheetah is a full-size, swing guard lock back from Case knives that has been produced for over 100 years but has only born the name 'Cheetah' since the early 1970's. The Cheetah is a great utility folder but thanks to its storied history makes a great addition to any collection.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blade: The single Clip Point blade is made from high polished Chrome Vanadium carbon steel and opened via a generous nail nick. A full flat grind offers a good combination of strength and cutting performance and is etched with a Cheetah emblem. The blade is equipped with a swing guard which offers added security during use but folds flat against the handle when closed for a sleek profile.
Handle: Nickel Silver bolsters frame the Chestnut Jigged Bone covers fitted with brass pins to brass liners. The front cover sports a classic Oval Shield. A middle position Back Lock construction offers simple and smooth locking operation of the blade.
Case Chrome Vanadium: CV or Chrome Vanadium is Case Knives carbon steel offering. Based in simple carbon steel (1086 or 1095) with small amounts of Chrome and Vanadium added for grain refinement and better hardening response. CV steel has low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but is very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
