The Cheetah is a full-size, swing guard lock back from Case knives that has been produced for over 100 years but has only born the name 'Cheetah' since the early 1970's. The Cheetah is a great utility folder but thanks to its storied history makes a great addition to any collection. This version comes with a Clip Point, Tru-Sharp stainless steel blade and Smooth Chestnut Bone covers.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blade: The single Clip Point blade is made from Tru-Sharp stainless steel and opened via a generous nail nick. A full flat grind offers a good combination of strength and cutting performance and is finished with a stylish, satin polish. The blade is equipped with a swing guard which offers added security during use but folds flat against the handle when closed for a sleek profile.
Handle: Nickel Silver bolsters frame the handsome, Smooth Chestnut Bone covers fitted with brass pins to brass liners. The front cover sports a Case oval script shield. A mid-back lock construction offers simple and smooth locking operation of the blade with one-hand operation.
Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel: Case's proprietary version of 420HC. Stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
