A favorite among Case collectors, the Trapper has been in production since the 1920s and is still a popular and utilitarian jack knife. Originally designed for trapping and skinning tasks, this lightweight is a great all around user thanks to the versatile design. The Slimline Trapper offers an even lighter platform in a slim single blade design. A fine addition to any Case collection, this Barehead version comes with a machine satin Tru-Sharp stainless steel blade and jigged brown Delrin covers without bolsters.
Brand new, directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company.
Blade: The Slimline Trapper pattern offers a single, sleek, long clip point blade perfect for simple everyday tasks. Made of Case's Tru-Sharp Stainless steel the blade is equipped with a slicing hollow grind, single nail nick opener and utilitarian machine satin finish.
Handle: Rugged Delrin polymer covers are attached to brass liners with brass pins in the traditional style with a jigged texture for traction and a tactile feel. A solid back spring delivers smooth, slip-joint operation for safe operation in use. The front cover sports an embossed Case Oval Script shield.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
