A tool for Doctor's in a time when house calls were the routine, the Doctor's Knife is traditional pattern from the turn of the century and was designed to aid doctor's in crushing pills into a powder form using the flat, squared bolster. The medication could then be added to a capsule, dissolved in liquid or mixed with food using the spatula blade as a combination scoop and stirring spoon. This version comes with synthetic Yellow Delrin covers and a polished Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades.

Blades: The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are finished in a bright polish and equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with a single Spear point blade with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance along with the traditional, unsharpened Spatula "blade".
Handle: Nickel Silver bolsters frame synthetic Yellow Delrin covers, a Case classic, fitted with brass pins to brass liners. A classic Oval Script Shield adorns the front. The flat, square bolster on the end of this knife is a defining feature of the Doctor's Knife pattern traditional used for crushing pills. A sturdy, stainless steel back spring offers simple, smooth slip joint operation for use.
