A tool for Doctor's in a time when house calls were the routine, the Doctor's Knife is traditional pattern from the turn of the century and was designed to aid doctor's in crushing pills into a powder form using the flat, squared bolster. The medication could then be added to a capsule, dissolved in liquid or mixed with food using the spatula blade as a combination scoop and stirring spoon. This version comes with Bone Stag covers and a polished Tru-Sharp stainless steel blade. No spatula blade on this version.

Blade: The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blade is finished in a bright polish and equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with a single Spear point blade with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance. The traditional, unsharpened Spatula "blade" is not present on this model.
Handle: Nickel Silver bolsters frame handsome Bone Stag cover fitted with brass pins to brass liners with a Case Oval Script Shield on the front. The flat, square bolster on the end of this knife is a defining feature of the Doctor's Knife pattern. A sturdy, stainless steel backspring offers simple, smooth slipjoint operation for use.
