One model in the new Modern Everyday Carry line from Case Knives is the Kinzua flipper. Inspired by the shapes of classic Japanese swords, the Kinzua sports a Spear profile blade paired with modern-day EDC folder construction. The Kinzua offers one hand operation with fast ball bearing pivot flipper deployment and integral frame lock construction. This version comes with a stonewashed CPM-S35VN spear blade and black anodized aluminum handle.

Blade: The CPM-S35VN spear point blade provides balanced toughness and performance. Known for powerful piercing ability, the spear blade delivers solid utility, ideal for cutting on flat surfaces. A ball bearing pivot makes for smooth operation and fast deployment via the index flipper tab.

Handle: Dual slabs of lightweight, anodized aluminum connected with barrel spacers create an easy to maintain open back construction. Heavy contours provide comfort in the hand with plenty of real estate for a solid grip and a stylish look. An index cutout pairs with the flipper tab guard for added safety on this. The steel lock face of the aluminum frame lock gives smooth operation and reliable lockup for safe use.

CPM-S35VN: Modified CPM-S30V designed for improved toughness (15-20%) and ease of machining and polishing. Well-balanced for daily use, S35VN has a slight decrease in edge retention and higher corrosion resistance, close to AISI 420.
