Case Medium Stockman Limited XX Edition Series XXXVI Second Cut Autumn Bone 12184
The Stockman is believed to be a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern and shares similarities in the design. The Medium Stockman is the second largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This version comes with polished Tru-Sharp blades.
The Case Factory is tucked away in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in Northern Pennsylvania. During Fall this area offers some of the most scenic views on earth. The Autumn Bone family captures the heart of harvest season, with beautiful colors reminiscent of the seasonally changing leaves. This Limited XX Edition Series XXXVI features Second Cut Autumn Bone covers, polished Case Bar Shield and bolsters and "LIMITED XX EDITION 1 of 3000" blade engraving.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blades: The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are finished in a bright polish and are each equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as backup. All three come with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance.
Handle: Second Cut Autumn Bone covers have an organic grooved texture and warm, Fall tones. Stylish and attractive, the covers are framed by polished nickel silvers bolsters with a matching Case Bar Shield. The scales are attached to brass liners with brass pins in the traditional style.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
