Details
Considered a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern, the Case Stockman shares several similarities in the design. The Medium Stockman is the second largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This version comes with smooth Autumn Maple Burl wood covers, polished Tru-Sharp blades and polished nickel silver bolsters.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blade: The Tru-Sharp stainless-steel blades come finished in a bright polish and are each equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as backup. All three come with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance.
Handle: Polished Nickel Silver bolsters frame smooth Autumn Maple Burl wood covers for a handsome, classic look. A traditional material, polished Maple Burl wood has good durability with timeless appeal and a warm feel in hand. The sturdy back springs deliver simple, smooth slip joint operation. The front handle sports a polished Case Diamond shield.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment, it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
