Details
The Stockman is believed to be a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern and shares similarities in the design. The Medium Stockman is the second largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This version features stunning smooth black Sycamore wood covers, a bow tie shield and polished Tru-Sharp blades.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co, USA.
Blade: The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are finished in a bright polish and are each equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as backup. All three come with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance.
Handle: Polished Nickel Silver bolsters frame black Sycamore wood covers that have a timeless appeal and handsome, rustic look. The covers are fitted with brass pins to brass liners with sturdy back springs for simple, smooth slip joint operation. The front handle sports a polished Bow Tie shield.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
