Blades: The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are finished in a bright polish and are each equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. The Seahorse Whittler has three blades in the classic configuration: a large, beefy Wharncliffe main blade for the rough work and two smaller blades, pen and coping, to accomplish all the detail work. All three come with full flat grinds for excellent slicing performance and durability for both wood craft and utility work.

Handles: The rugged blue denim peach seed jig bone covers are fit between two sets of polished nickel silver bolster and have a great in-hand feel. The covers are attached with brass pins to brass liners in the traditional style. The front cover sports an embossed Case Bombshell script shield while a stainless steel back spring delivers smooth, simple and secure slip-joint operation.

Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
