Measuring only 3 inches long, the clasp style Small Texas Toothpick dates back to the turn of the 20th century. The long Clip blade has a fine point for making small holes or light digging, while the slim shape allows for comfortable pocket carry. This version comes with smooth Mediterranean Blue bone covers and a Tru-Sharp stainless-steel clip point blade.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blade: The single, long clip point blade has a full flat grind with a nearly full-length clip for excellent slicing and piercing performance. Made from Tru-Sharp stainless steel with a mirror satin finish, the blade is easy to maintain and offers excellent utility in a compact package with well-balanced durability and performance. This model has a solid back spring with smooth slip joint operation.
Handle: The handsome smooth bone covers are fit between two sets of polished nickel silver bolster and have a great in-hand feel and vibrant Mediterranean Blue dye for visual appeal. Covers come attached with brass pins to brass liners in the traditional style with a solid back spring for secure slip-joint operation. The front cover sports a pewter Case Oval shield.
Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel: Case's proprietary version of 420HC. Stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough. With proper heat treat, it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
