The Teardrop is one of the newest Case patterns and another winning collaboration with renowned custom knife maker, Tony Bose. Inspired by a custom knife Bose built for the movie, “Lincoln” the Teardrop features an iconic “teardrop” shaped handle and single long spear point blade. This version comes with Sawcut Jig Barehead Amber Bone covers and a polished Tru-Sharp stainless steel blade.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, USA.
Blade: The Teardrop pattern offers a single, sleek, long spear point blade perfect for simple everyday tasks. The Tru-Sharp Stainless steel blade comes with a slicing hollow grind, single nail nick opener and high mirror polish finish.
Handle: Sawcut Jig Barehead Amber Bone covers are fit between two sets of nickel silver bolsters for a classic and stylish look. The front cover sports a Case Bombshell Shield. Classic brass liner construction houses a simple slip joint back spring delivering secure non-locking operation.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment, it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
