Details

The classic Case Trapper pattern is a large, traditional folder that begs to be used. The classic slip joint design offers two large Chrome Vanadium carbon steel blades at the primary end of the robust and comfortable handle made with nickel silver bolsters and Chestnut Jigged Bone covers. Great for daily use or as an addition to any Case collection. Rugged, handsome and timeless.

Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.

Blades: The standard Trapper pattern, this folder features a full-size clip point and spay blade both at the same end of the handle. Both blades are made from bright polished Chrome Vanadium carbon steel blades with shallow hollow grinds and nail nick openers. The blades open smoothly from the closed position with a solid snap from the back spring keeping the blade secure and ready to use.

Handle: Classic Jigged Chestnut Bone covers are rugged and timeless with a warm, natural feel and good traction. Framed by nickel silvers bolsters the scales are attached to brass liners with brass pins in the traditional style and feature the case Oval Script shield on the front.

Case Chrome Vanadium: CV or Chrome Vanadium is Case Knives carbon steel offering. Based in simple carbon steel (1086 or 1095) with small amounts of Chrome and Vanadium added for grain refinement and better hardening response. CV steel has low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but is very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
