Details

The Folding Hunter is an artistically crafted, hard working tool built to be used as a multi-purpose folding field knife. This version comes with dual Chrome Vanadium blades, dual bolsters and Chestnut Jigged Bone covers. This large folding knife is great for outdoor use as well as making a great addition to any collection.

Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.

Blades: Both Clip point and Skinner blades are made from polished Chrome Vanadium blades and open from the same end of the handle via generous nail nicks on the blades. The Clip Point is excellent for detail work and with a shallow hollow grind works very well for general purpose slicing tasks as well. The Skinner blade is flat ground for more durability while retaining solid cutting performance and delivering plenty of belly for skinning tasks.

Handle: Dual, polished nickel silver bolsters frame rugged Chestnut Jigged Bone covers that are attached to brass liners with brass pins in traditional Case fashion. A Case Oval Script Shield adorns the front and dual stainless back springs provide good tension for smooth operation and secure use. The large handle offers plenty of grip for the largest of hands even with gloves.

Carries via an included snap close, pouch-style, leather belt sheath.

Case Chrome Vanadium: CV or Chrome Vanadium is Case Knives carbon steel offering. Based in simple carbon steel (1086 or 1095) with small amounts of Chrome and Vanadium added for grain refinement and better hardening response. CV steel has low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but is very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
