The Chaves 229 is a modern classic at this point, a beefy frame lock folder that is capable of hard use and is stylish enough to show off a little. A large M390 blade makes easy work of most cutting tasks, while the ergonomic titanium handles help with cutting fatigue. The Lee Williams KICKSTOP flipper offers the modern deployment of a flipper while retaining the traditional lines when the blade is open. The free-floating tab rotates into the handle upon deployment of the blade, hiding the flipper inside the handle.
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high level edge retention and corrosion resistance. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives, M390 is relatively easy to sharpen, with toughness on par with 440C/154CM.
