Also known as the "Yarborough", the Chris Reeve Large Green Beret 7" is a full tang, plain edge fixed blade knife presented to graduates of the Special Forces Qualification Course. Designed by knife maker Bill Harsey with input from Chris Reeve, this knife was designed especially for the US Army Special Forces. This version comes with a plain edge, Cerakote coated CPM-MagnaCut blade and black canvas Micarta handles.
Brand new direct from Chris Reeve Knives.
Blade: The spearpoint blade tapers to a fine point with a swedge at the tip for piercing while the hollow saber grind a balance of slicing performance and durability. Black ceramic coating is durable, discreetly non-reflective and offers enhanced corrosion resistance for the CPM-Magnacut steel.
Handle: The sandblasted canvas Micarta handles are contoured and milled with a herringbone texture and center groove for optimal security in the hand. Micarta offers traction even when wet and is durable and weather resistant, as you would expect from a knife designed for the rigors of special operations use. Allen head hardware attaches the handles to the full tang allowing for easy removal for cleaning. The pommel is exposed for striking and comes with a removable nylon lanyard for added security.
Sheath: Includes a heavy-duty, felt lined nylon MOLLE sheath for carry (USA).
