Blade: Satin grinds with lightly tumbled flats and a crowned spine give the Mnandi a classy look while the shallow hollow grind offers exceptional slicing performance. CPM-S45VN delivers solid performance for daily use while taking a finer edge and being easier to sharpen. The chamfered thru-nick blade hole allows for quick, two-hand access to the blade with buttery smooth action thanks to oversize phosphor bronze washers at the pivot and very tight tolerances. One hand operation is a definite possibility.

Handle: Dark and dense Bog Oak wood scales have been inlaid into the front and back of the satin-polished titanium handle flats while the edges and lock bar are ultra-fine media blasted matte gray for contrast in look and feel. Stabilized Bog Oak is rare wood in the beginning stages of fossilization. Buried and preserved in a peat bog for hundreds or sometimes thousands of years, Bog Oak's hues are deep brown to almost black wood. Fit and finish on this timeless classic is outstanding, while the Reeve Integral Frame Lock delivers smooth operation and rock solid lock up for secure use. CPM-S45VN: An evolution in the S30-series of steels from Crucible, S45VN shows improved edge retention and corrosion resistance relative to S35VN with a slight reduction in toughness. Also considered an upgrade to Elmax with similar edge retention with better hardness, corrosion resistance, toughness, and a finer carbide structure (better sharpness).
