The Sebenza 31 is not a completely new model, but rather an update to the time-tested and proven design of the classic Sebenza 21. The Sebenza 31 has updated features including: Ceramic Ball Interface from the Umnumzaan/Inkosi, off-set clip design, improved ergonomics, removal of fixture hole on front handle, re-designed inlays (select models) and tighter tolerances thanks to improved machining processes. Sebenza means "work" in Zulu and the model 31 will see plenty of work as it is built with heirloom quality to last. This version comes with a drop point, CPM-S45VN stainless steel blade with double lugs, blasted titanium handles and Blade Show 2021 titanium lanyard bead.

Blade: The small Sebenza 31 delivers just under three inches of polished, shaving sharp cutting edge on the CPM-S45VN drop point blade. The deep hollow grind offers exceptional slicing performance and extended life through sharpening and use. Fully stonewashed to hide wear from use, the blade retains a handsome, rugged look while the jimped thumb ramp offers traction and comfort. The rest of the spine is crowned, smooth and polished for a custom feel. Double blue anodized titanium thumb lugs allow for ambidextrous opening on the oversize bronze pivot system which uses large, grease-filled pockets for a smooth, hydraulic operation.

Handle: The dual slabs of 6AL4V titanium are sandblasted for a nice, tactile feel that will develop a unique patina with wear over time. The Reeve Integral Lock utilizes the titanium frame to deliver "bank vault" like lockup. An upgraded Ceramic Ball Interface increases the reliability and life of the lock while offering an extra smooth operation of both lock and blade. The construction is completed with full titanium hardware including a blue anodized spacer and lanyard pin. Includes a tube of fluorinated grease, microfiber cloth, information packet and installed black nylon lanyard with titanium lanyard bead engraved "Blade Show 2021" and the Chris Reeve logo.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, off-set titanium pocket clip.

CPM-S45VN: An evolution in the S30-series of steels from Crucible, S45VN shows improved edge retention and corrosion resistance relative to S35VN with a slight reduction in toughness. Also considered an upgrade to Elmax with similar edge retention with better hardness, corrosion resistance, toughness, and a finer carbide structure (better sharpness).
