This version comes with Cuibourtia Wood scales, a Dark Stonewashed D2 blade and matching stainless steel liners.

Blade: A simple drop point blade made from dark stonewashed D2 tool steel is hollow ground with a tapered swedge, providing solid slicing and piercing performance. Rugged and non-reflective, the dark stonewashed finish is both functional and stylish hiding wear while looking great. A subtle choil offers easy sharpening. A caged ceramic ball bearing pivot offers fast, smooth operation of the blade using the index flipper tab for deployment.

Handle: Black stainless steel liners support handsome Guibourtia (a.k.a. Bubinga, Ovangkol, African Rosewood) wood handle scales with the liners riding proud to deliver a more contoured feel in the hand. Simple in design, the handles are comfortable and secure with solid ergonomics. Guibourita wood is similar to rosewood and has a striking look and excellent performance in durability and resistance to the elements. The stainless steel liner lock is smooth, simple and reliable for operation with jimping for enhanced traction. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment at the pommel end.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
