Simple, elegant, functional and utilitarian, the Elementum from CIVIVI knives is an exercise in minimalism, delivering everything that is essential to an everyday carry folder with nothing frivolous or impractical. This version comes with Gray G10 handle scales, stainless steel liners and a satin finished D2 tool Steel blade.

Blade: A simple drop point blade made from satin finished D2 tool steel is hollow ground with a tapered swedge, providing solid slicing and piercing performance. A subtle choil offers easy sharpening. A caged ceramic ball bearing pivot offers fast, smooth operation of the blade using the index flipper tab for deployment.

Handle: Stainless steel liners support rugged, G10 handle scales with the liners riding proud to deliver a more contoured feel in the hand. Simple in design, the handles are comfortable and secure with solid ergonomics. The stainless steel liner lock is smooth, simple and reliable for operation with jimping for enhanced traction. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment at the pommel end.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
