CIVIVI Shredder C912A Blue & Black Coarse Layered G10 Satin D2 Liner Lock Flipper

The CIVIVI Shredder C912A is a full size tactical everyday carry folder that offers excellent performance with a nearly full flat ground, clip point blade and layered, coarse textured G10 handles in a robust platform. This version comes with Blue and Black layered G10 handle scales with coarse texture, stainless steel liners and a satin finished D2 tool Steel blade.

Blade: Riding on a stainless steel ball bearing pivot the D2 blade deploys fast and smooth via the index flipper or the oversize blade hole for ambidextrous operation. A nearly full length clip point swedge starts at the jimped thumb ramp and tapers to a fine, piercing point. Paired with a generous finger choil the jimped thumb ramp helps to enhance security in the hand during heavy work.

Handle: Supported by sturdy, stainless steel liner construction, chamfered, layered G10 handles deliver a secure and ergonomic grip in the hand. The top layer of G10 is extra coarse in texture offering good traction in adverse conditions or while wearing gloves. A semi-open back construction reduces weight and makes cleaning easy while the partial G10 back spacer protects the edge when closed. An inline pin is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, black stainless steel deep carry pocket clip.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
