Custom knife maker and contestant on the Discovery Channel's show Naked and Afraid, Kaila Cumings has partnered with CIVIVI to deliver a budget friendly production folder based on her custom P87 fixed blade. Versatile, ergonomic and performance driven, the P87 folder is ready to work. This version comes with a black hand rubbed, stainless San Mai Damascus blade and black G10 handle scales with twill carbon fiber overlays.

Blade: The sweeping reverse Tanto blade rides smooth on a ceramic ball bearing pivot for fast ambidextrous deployment via the thumb studs or index flipper. Equipped with a high flat grind the blade is all belly from tip to heel making it a powerful slicer with solid performance in heavy use. A swedge tapers the tip to a fine point well suited to piercing and detail work. The stainless San Mai Damascus blade provides a striking visual appeal and modern performance with a subdued black hand rubbed finish. 

Handle: Black skeletonized stainless steel liners support flat G10 scales with handsome twill carbon fiber overlays joined by a partial back spacer forming a rock solid handle. The arched back and finger grooves provide a secure hold in both saber and pinch grips, good for fine work, while the liner lock delivers smooth operation and solid lockup for safe use.

Chinese San Mai Damascus: Produced in multiple patterns, Damascus offers the performance of a modern steel with striking visual appeal from the pattern welded layers. The core of this blade is 9Cr18MoV stainless steel hardened to around 60 HRC for solid cutting performance.
