Inspired by the traditional Bird and Trout knife, the Bird and Game from Cold Steel offers this classic design in a super ultralight and affordable platform that you can carry anywhere without weighting you down. Equipped with a flat ground, Japanese AUS 8A blade, the Bird and Game tapers to a fine tip for powerful piercing and fine cutting work. Textured polymer handle scales are paired with an end ring for a secure grip even in adverse conditions.

Blade: Fully flat ground and bead blasted matte gray, the Japanese AUS-8a stainless steel blade comes in a utilitarian spear-like blade. Jimping on the spine provides enhanced traction while the thin stock and tapering point offer great performance for a variety of tasks.

Handle: High traction polymer scales are directly molded to the full tang of the blade for a reliable and rock solid handle that is secure in the grip further enhanced with the end ring that keeps the knife connected to the user even if the grip is lost. The relatively neutral handle design is comfortable in a variety of grips.

Carries via a Secure-Ex sheath with stainless steel ball chain.

Japanese AUS-8A Stainless Steel: a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel offers excellent balance of performance: it has good toughness, corrosion resistance and sharpening response with similar edge retention to 440C.
