An updated version of the popular Counter Point folding boot knife design, the Gunsite Counter Point I from Cold Steel is a devastatingly effective backup tool. The Gunsite offers the stiletto inspired design with FDE or Flat Dark Earth brown Griv-Ex polymer handles and a hollow ground false edge AUS-10A stainless steel with partially serrated cutting edge.

Blade: Made from Japanese AUS10A stainless steel, the dagger-like spear point blade features a shallow hollow grind with partially serrated cutting edge and pronounced false edge swedge delivering aggressive slicing and piercing performance. One hand operation is easy thanks to the adjustable dual thumb studs while scalloped jimping on the spine gives added traction when leveraging the spine for powerful cuts.

Handle: Heat treated skeletonized aluminum liners and inset in the textured Griv-Ex polymer handles for a lightweight and rugged handle that is nearly impervious to the elements. The near symmetrical handle is comfortable and secure in most grips while an index cutout pairs with the dual guard for optimal security in the standard grip. Milled holes reduce weight and enhance traction.

Japanese AUS-10 Stainless Steel: Similar to AISI 440C, AUS10 offers excellent corrosion resistance, good edge retention and easy sharpening. For AUS-10A the "A" at the end indicates annealing of the steel after the rolling steel which does not affect the blade performance.
