The classic Gurkha Kukri design is given a modern update from Cold Steel with high performance materials suited to the heavy hitting design. If you are looking for a high-powered chopping machine this is for you. This version comes with an ultra tough CPM-3V high carbon alloy steel blade and Kray-Ex rubber for the handle.

Blade: Made from 5/16-inch thick, CPM-3V, the blade is the classic Kukri design with a forward weighted, negative blade angle drop point profile. Fully flat ground, this blade can pierce, slice, chop and slash through anything in your path. The forward section has a big belly for skinning while the edge near the handle can be used for finer tasks. The thick spine adds weight for heavy chopping and added durability and a large index guard keeps your fingers safe during serious use. CPM-3V delivers an exceptionally tough blade capable of heavy use with good edge retention sacrificing corrosion resistance.

Handle: A full hidden tang runs the length of the handle which is made from deeply checkered Kray-Ex for a high traction, shock absorbing grip, optimal durability and resistance to the elements. The handle is comfortable thanks to the contoured design, large palm swell and flared pommel. A large brass tube is provided for lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Carries via a molded polymer sheath with modular nylon belt loop.

CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
