The Mini Leatherneck from Cold Steel is a small dog with plenty of fight in it. This compact, budget friendly iteration of the Leatherneck fighting knife makes a perfect daily carry fixed blade when you need robust, tactical performance. This version comes with a satin finished, 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, double edge spear point blade and black Kray-Ex polymer handle.

Blade: The satin 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade comes with a dagger-like, double edge spear point profile for powerful piercing and double the slicing power. With a 3.5 inch length the 3 mm thick blade can handle most anything you can throw at it while being compact enough for neck carry.

Handle: Much like the rest of the knife, the handle was inspired by the classic USMC fighting knife, the tang of the blade is wrapped with a Kray-Ex polymer with grooves and checkering for a solid, secure grip. A stainless steel guard with broad quillons protects the fingers during serious use. Flat sections on the side reduce the profile for carry and a hollow brass tube allows for lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Carries via a Secure-Ex sheath with holes for lanyard or clip. 

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440B. Sharpening should be a breeze.
