Cold Steel Recon 1 OD Green Spear Point XHP 27TLSVG

The Cold Steel OD Green Recon 1 Spear Point CTS-XHP features a premium blade steel while maintaining the familiar features you've come to know and rely on in the Recon 1.  Large in the folding knife spectrum, the Recon 1 is at home in the field to handle the tough stuff.  Fully ambidextrous, it is easily functioned with either hand and while wearing gloves should the task require it.  

The Blade: Black DLC coating provides extra durability and a non-reflective finish to the CTS-XHP Carpenter Steel spear blade. Truly ambidextrous design can be opened with either hand by utilizing the dual thumb studs and locks up rock solid with the Tri-Ad lock back mechanism.

The Handle: Ergonomically contoured OD Green G10 has been textured for an aggressive non-slip grip handle. A black coated steel backspacer and Tri-Ad Lock brings the handles together. Includes an attached black coated stainless steel pocket clip for tip-up right handed carry as well as an additional clip to attach for left-handed carry.  

About CTS-XHP: An alloy steel made by Carpenter, CTS-XHP was developed as a corrosion resistant D2 alternative. Our research shows users estimating edge retention slightly ahead of S30V, and toughness comparable to D2. This makes CTS-XHP a premium steel, which should hold a great edge and be reasonably corrosion resistant.
