Inspired by the traditional Scottish Sgian-dubh (Skean Dhu), the Secret Edge from Cold Steel offers this classic design with modern materials, performance and style. Equipped with a flat ground, Japanese AUS 8A blade that is wide at the base for strength and narrows to a fine tip for powerful piercing and fine cutting work. The Secret Edge comes with a satin finished blade and black G10-textured Griv-Ex handle scales.

Blade: Satin finished, fully flat ground, Japanese AUS-8a stainless steel is used for the spear-like blade of the Secret Edge. Jimping on the spine provides enhanced traction while the thin stock and tapering point offer great performance for both utility and martial use.

Handle: Ultra-high traction Griv-Ex scales are attached to the full tang of the blade for a reliable and rock solid handle that is secure in the grip thanks to a gentle taper to the pommel with milled holes for added grip. The symmetrical handle design is comfortable in nearly any grip.

Carries via a Secure-Ex sheath with stainless steel ball chain.

Japanese AUS-8 Stainless Steel: a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel offers excellent balance of performance: it has good toughness, corrosion resistance and sharpening response with similar edge retention to 440C.
