Cold Steel Swift I Satin Assisted Folder Lock Back 22A

The Cold Steel Swift I has the new patent pending Flash-Tek spring assisted mechanism with safety. They claim this is the strongest spring assisted knife on the market today. The dual tone satin finished blade has a spear point styled blade with a swedge. Jimping on the top of the blade is right where a thumb would rest for added control. The blade is made from American sourced CTS-XHP steel for great edge retention and decent corrosion resistance.

The jimping along the spine of the blade carries through to the lock bar with it's mid mounted release. Thick 3D machined G10 frame pieces have been contoured for comfort and have been milled out for a hidden steel top liner. This reduces weight but gives the knife the correct amount of reinforcement to maintain integrity. As with many of the Cold Steel models, an extra left handed carry clip is included in the box. Carpenter CTS-XHP was developed as a corrosion resistant D2 alternative. Our research shows users estimating edge retention slightly ahead of S30V, and toughness comparable to D2. This makes CTS-XHP a premium steel, which should hold a great edge and be reasonably corrosion resistant.
