A perfect size for hiking or backpacking the Greenland Pattern Hatchet comes with a high quality leather bit cover for safe carry. The straight toe and drop heal of the bit make the Greenland Pattern a fast and accurate chopper capable of making quick work of kindling or light limbing work.
Head: 1060 High Carbon Tool Steel is heat treated to a 45-50 Hrc, delivering the kind of toughness you want in an ax. The head is forge finished on the side with a medium polish on the 3 ⅝" bit (edge) and pole. The straight edge and slight downward angle of the head help the Greenland Hatchet deliver precise chopping performance.
Handle: The handle is made from a solid piece of American Hickory 16.25" in length with a subtly curved profile which offers a secure, ergonomic grip to get you though your firewood processing.
