The Mini GS has a 2.2 Lbs. head made from 1060 Carbon Tool Steel with an American Hickory Handle. This axe was designed for light to moderate chopping and splitting with a maul like head that wedges wood apart with ease. The Mini GS Splitting Axe comes with a high quality leather bit cover for safe carry. The classic, curved handle design ensures a smooth swing and ergonomically efficient operation to keep you swinging until the job is done.

Head: 1060 Carbon Tool Steel is heat treated to 45-50 HRC, offering the optimal toughness you want in an ax. The head is forge finished with a polished edge and sides of the wedge for reduced friction in splitting.
