Craig Camerer Mid-Tech Skeleton Balisong Distressed Channel Titanium CPM-154 Spear Point

This "Mid-Tech" Bali from maker Craig Camerer is more custom than production as the blade is hand cut and ground by Craig and then milled, drilled and finished the water-jet cut handles. This piece is a highly functional work of art sure to be a standout in your collection. The skeletonized handles are channel milled for an integral construction with machined grooves and holes for weight reduction and traction in the hand. The blade is a beautifully satin finished, hollow ground Spear Point made from CPM-154.

Blade: Craig fashioned this large-bellied spear from CPM-154, a well balanced, modern stainless steel that finishes beautifully with a fine satin finish that is absolutely stunning. The blade is equipped with a deep hollow grind with a compound ground tip and top swedge for excellent slicing and piercing performance if you choose to use it. The spine of the blade is crowned to the swedge for a truly custom feel. Both pivots on the tang utilize micro ball bearings for optimal buttery smooth operation. Fashioned and fit perfectly with zero play in all directions. 

Handle: The handles of the Skeleton are marvelous. The handles are channel milled from billets of titanium for an elegant integral construction. Weight reduction is one thing, but the grip it adds to the experience is also quite nice, giving plenty of traction for cycling and use. Nothing unnecessary is added keeping this knife perfectly balanced in weight. The handles have been acid etched and heavily tumbled for a distressed look that contrasts nicely with the satin blade. Craig put a light orange peel finish on the interior of the handle a discreet custom element. A satin finished titanium latch and pin keep the handle securely open or closed for use or carry respectively.

CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
