The CRKT M16-03S Classic is a fitting tribute to the founder of the M16 design, Kit Carson who passed away in the fall of 2014. The classic sports a matte finished spear point style plain edge AUS-8 stainless steel blade and 6061 Aluminum handles. The blade steel holds a good edge and is easier to sharpen in the field than tool steels. Blade easily opens with one-hand either by the dual thumb studs or the use of the Carson Flipper to quickly deploy the blade. Once deployed, the optional LAWKS® manual safety feature sets a pin against the locking liner to hold the liner in place. Four position pocket clip provides allows tip-up or down ambidextrous carry. This timeless design lives on and is a testament to the legacy that Kit Carson left behind.
