The CRKT Crawford Kasper with Black Coated Blade and OD Green Zytel handle is a large combat folder that can also be used for utility. Designed by knifemaker Pat Crawford, the folding Kasper is a beefy folder with a thick handle. Built for strength with full length liners and solid metal backspacer, it's no lightweight. Blacked out blade, liners, hardware and pocket clip enhances the tactical nature of this knife.
The Blade: With it's utility shaped modified drop point blade, this knife is ready to take on most any task. Deploys quickly with almost no effort via dual thumb studs. Stainless steel blade has a black coating which helps keep maintenance low, yet still keeps a good edge.
The Handle: Tough Zytel scale can take a lot of abuse and is easy on the hands and pocket. Jimping on the thumb rest provides traction under hard use. Incredibly strong construction with thick full length liners with one being used as a lockbar. The liner lock mechanism holds the blade solidly open and has LAWKS as a safety back-up.
This knife features LAWKS®, the Lake and Walker Knife Safety innovation. LAWKS® sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. To engage the safety, push the LAWKS® lever forward. To close the knife, pull the LAWKS® lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position.
