When you need a sharp edge at 1500 feet up or just in a pinch look no further than your handy NIAD (Nose In A Day) folder. Designed by world record-holding speed climber Hans Florine from California to be lightweight and ready when you need it.
The Blade: This small, chisel ground tanto-styled blade features Veff Flat Top Serrations for tearing through fibrous materials and straight pointy edge for piercing. Just over 1.25 inches of cutting edge with tumbled flats, backside and satin grinds. It opens with a single stud and locks up solid via a frame locking mechanism.
The Handle: Lightweight, durable and non-corrosive Titanium handle frame is just what the climber ordered. It's fully tumbled to reduce visible wear and tear with lanyard hole accessory option. A substantial loop near the bottom is perfect for attaching to a carabiner for safe keeping.
The NIAD from CRKT is a climber's best friend but also makes a great keychain knife for just about everyone else. It's unnoticeable size and featherweight carry makes the NIAD an ideal backup edge when you need one.
